*Je viens de découvrir que nos voisins anglophones ne connaissaient pas les cakes salés.
J’ai donc décidé de partager avec eux ma recette.*
I have just recently found out that English speakers didn’t seem to know of savoury cakes.
Due to popular demand (1 counts as popular?) I am going to share with you my recipe.
Savoury cake for 4 people (meat-eaters version 😉 )
1 glass of white wine
1 glass of olive oil
1 tea spoon salt
1 packet of baking powder (1 packet is around 10g)
200g green olives
100g grated cheese
butter for the shape
1. Turn on the oven to pre-heat (150°C-300°F)
2. Cut out the ham in small dices
3. Drip the olives and rinse them
4. Butter the shape
5. In a bowl put in this order:
Flour and baking powder
6. Whisk he mix
7. Add the ham, olives and cheese
8. Mix well
9. Pour in the shape
10. Cook for 45 min
You can put various vegetables instead of the ham, olives and cheese if you want, just replace them in the recipe.
Also, with baking paper, you can make two cakes in one shape (one meat and one veg) as shown on the pictures.
